Texts and sources that the author quotes would be Jim Morrison, Iggy pop, Johnny Rotten, in order to prove the point that many pf these people are looking for authenticity. He also quotes A start is born, purple rain and Performing rites.
All around us people are trying to prove their authenticity. People like new entrepreneurs who want to better then everyone else. Restaurants who want have the best food. Relatives want to be your favorite. Everywhere you go you meet people that are trying to prove their authenticity
